Autonomous watering rover
An autonomous watering rover I'm building — currently in active development.
Description
It’s an autonomous watering rover I’m building. It runs ROS motion nodes that drive VESC motor controllers over a CAN bus, with hydraulic waist steering and a fail-safe brake, and follows crop lines using RTK-GPS.
On the software side it includes a rover dashboard web app and an MCP server that lets an AI assistant like Claude drive the hardware and read live telemetry directly — the honest AI angle in my current work.
It’s the software and control side of an AgTech Sweden innovation project to build a self-propelled, GPS-guided irrigation machine for open-field farming — moving along the field’s tramlines to cut the labour, energy and water that cable-reel systems need.
