I’ve given christianengvall.se a fresh design.
The site had been running on the same WordPress-migrated theme for years. I rebuilt it from the ground up as a light, calm portfolio — new typography (Outfit for headlines, IBM Plex for everything else), a green accent, and a lot less visual noise. It’s still a static Jekyll site, so it stays fast and simple to maintain.
What changed
- A proper portfolio front page that leads with the work, plus a cleaner writing index you can filter by topic.
- Reorganised articles. Posts now live under
/writing/<category>/, with breadcrumbs so it’s always clear where you are. Every old URL redirects to its new home, so nothing you’ve linked to or bookmarked breaks. - Code blocks got their syntax highlighting back, and the whole thing reads better on mobile.
Everything I write here — the debugging notes, setup guides and lessons from real work — is exactly where it was, just easier to find. More soon.
